WHAT REALLY MATTERS ...
Whatever you do this month, the good news is that you have love on your side. Venus and your ruling planet Mercury are doing a wonderful dance together in the skies, in the signs of Sagittarius and Capricorn. They are not in exactly the same place at the same time, but they are close to it. So where love goes, Geminis follow. Or contrariwise, love is on your tail this January. But if it sounds like you're going to be the centre of attention, that's not quite right. Sure, you could find yourself with some new admirers (or with some old ones who've rediscovered their passion for you) But it's not so much about you, you, you. It's more about them, them, them. If you think back to the months from May to October last year, you probably remember times when a VIP in your life was giving you a bit more attention than you wanted. Now the tables look like turning. For some, a lover from the past looks very likely to crawl out of the woodwork for another round with you. If you broke up the relationship because it wasn't healthy, it's important that you remember that now. The skies suggest that toxic relationships can be ditched once and for all now by Geminis who are not afraid to let go of what's quite clearly rotting love wood. If you're just falling in love at the start of 2005, you've picked an exciting time to do it, that's for sure. Relationships are very unlikely to be superficial now, and you are less likely than usual to be satisfied by romances which are all about giggles and being light-hearted. If your love affair starts at the beginning of the year, you could look back on it as one of the most intense.

Money is a big focus for many Geminis now. The good news is that many of you have worked out how to balance those account books and boost your bank balance without breaking your neck working too hard. That's not to say that you've become a work-shy fop scared of burning the midnight oil. Far from it. Rather, you're starting to realise that there are clever shortcuts which can be made without compromising the overall integrity of your working life and what you're producing. This month, if you're in doubt about a financial issue, take time out to examine your set-up. The Sun, Mercury and Venus all in Capricorn (which is the part of your chart related to salaries, credit cards, loans etc) are giving you an excellent opportunity to work out a budget for the year. Also, try to set some aims. How much cash would you ideally like to have saved by December 31 this year? To do that, how much would you have to set aside each month? Talking about cash will be easier when your ruler Mercury meets Venus in this part of your chart around January 14.
POWER DATES: As usual, your ruler Mercury is super busy up in the skies. This month, the hottest dates to watch out for are around January 5, 9, 13, 14, 23, 28 and 29. These are the dates when you are going to be most alert and able to talk your way into whatever you need to, with that amazing Gemini wit and charm. Do be extra careful around January 26, when Mercury opposes Saturn and you could find that people are just a little bit less likely to want to take your side.
